Background

Lawrence Walker trained at Christchurch Teachers College and worked in a range of urban and rural schools. After completing the Diploma in Education of Students with Special Teaching Needs (Dip STN) he taught at a residential School for students with severe behaviour and emotional problems. In 2000 he took up a lecturing position at the Centre of Special Education, Christchurch College of Education. Lawrence Walker has served in a number of roles supporting education and colleague’s interests.  He is currently involved with NZSEA and Cholmondeley Home School advisory board and Society of Information Technology & Teacher Education USA.
